Vincent Van Gogh once said, "Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much and what is done in love is done well." I feel this quote accurately describes my pursuit of my interests as an artist. My style, medium, and message varies widely and I find it hard to pin myself down as an artist. I love many things, and I love to experience many things and I think that shows through in my art. Often, my circumstances and my surroundings dictate my interests at that point. Whether it be a class in sculpture or painting, or creating special art for people of the things they cherish the most in life, I throw myself into all these pursuits with my whole heart so that I leave each artistic experience satisfied. I do not know what my journey as an artist and educator will look like, but I know that whatever I do, it will be with love in my heart and a smile on my face.
